my computer keeps crashing/bsoding help?!
my Dell Inspiron has been pretty regularly crashing, freezing and/or BSODing once or twice a day for about a month - I assumed this was mostly due to its age since it was relatively cheap, however today it has been constantly freezing on me, and I've been getting a blue screen of death almost every hour. When I restart it, I get a message telling me to 'insert boot media'. I ran diagnostics, and it said that it could not find the hard drive - however it also said that everything was working and then allowed me to boot normally.
I'm guessing there is a problem with my hard drive, any help?

There are 7 billion 542 thousand 9 hundred and 42 blue screens.
There are Thousands of Dell models.
There are hundreds of error codes.
Without Basic information including what stop error is on the blue screen there is no help.
XP VISTA WIN7 WIN8 ?
Service packs?
Dell Model number?
Etc.

You answered your own question more than likely the hard drive. You can download diagnostic software from the drive mfg, you can go to device manager to find the model of your disk drive, but i would back up any files you need before I did anything else.
