Dell FS7610 Replication Question

We currently have one FS7610 NAS appliance and one EqualLogic PS6510E (with ~100 usable TB).  Our company just purchased another FS7610 and PS6510 for replication purposes (the two new units will reside in another data center) and in the next few months we will probably be purchasing a bunch more (FS7610's and PS6510s) which will also replicate to each other.  At this point, I'm not sure what to expect but I am a little bit concern about Layer 3 bandwidth.  I've spoken to a couple of Dell salesmen and have gotten two different answers on this............................but on an FS7610, does replication happen on the front end or back end?

Thank you in advance!

In the case of the 76xx, replication is done by the FS nodes, not the EQL array, and it uses the iSCSI network subnet to do the replication.

You might want to take a look at the SilverPeak Velocity products - they will help the Layer 3 bandwidth issue as it relates to replication for both platforms.

iSCSI network is the backend on that unit.
