Dell Studio 1555 shuts off abruptly when connected to adapter
Hello,
My Dell Studio 1555 laptop when connected to ac adapter shuts off (i.e. going blank as if someone disconnected all the power source) abruptly on moderate usage ( while browsing or playing movies), interestingly the laptop if left on merely desktop mode will not shut off.
However, there is no such problem if the laptop is running on battery. On battery I can do anything and laptop will respond fine.
I have also tried connecting the laptop with another adapter but the problem was still there.
I tried resolving my issue through customer care many times but they were unable to resolve it. I have the latest BIOS, WIN 7 64 bit, and all the updated drivers.
Please help anyone.

Did you ever resolve this, mine does almost the same. It can sometimes run for a few minutes, sometimes an hour or so, but will eventually power itself off. This only happens when connected to mains power, if running off the battery, all is fine.
