U2414H OSD buttons no go after Sleep

Brand new U2414H here connected through HDMI to an NVIDIA card. Latest NVIDIA drivers, Windows 8.1 OS. Everything seems to work like it should except this strange issue when I can't access any of the OSD controls after the screen goes to "sleep" ("turn off the display after 1 hour"). OSD buttons work no problem from a cold boot (fully powered off screen) and continue to function as long as the screen doesn't go to sleep. i can lock and unlock it without any issue too and adjust settings through DELL Display Manager. Once I wake it up from sleep with the mouse none of the buttons seem to respond, including Power button. I can press, slide, hold them without any effect until I completely power off the screen by unplugging the power cord. After powering it back on, the buttons work flawlessly. I've never encountered such behavior before and I'm puzzled what might be causing this. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Try setting 8.1 power management to High Performance and then re-test.

this is clearly a spread out issue and it has nothing to do with Windows or GPU drivers as many people have reported and puzzled by it on different setups.

OSD function is obviously broken on this monitor as it's just getting switched off by monitor itself after certain time interval/system sleep. DELL should really look into this and provide any sort of hot fix (granted, it's not a hardware issue).

All you can do is get it replaced.
* Go back to the top of this Monitor Forum
* Open "FAQ Monitor"
* Open "Monitor warranties and instructions"
