Windows 7 CD - Replacement

I have a Dell Inspiron desktop computer. Yesterday I managed to infect it with a nasty virus. I can't find the Windows 7 CD that came with the computer.

Any idea on how I can get a replacement from Dell?

Thank you,

If you reside in the US and are the registered owner of the computer, a disc containing the factory-installed operating system specific to your system, can be requested from HERE.

Note: Dell may charge for the disc.

If you don't reside in the US, contact Dell's Technical Support that's located in your country.

You could also, try browsing eBay for the Dell OEM disk, it must be the same version that was factory installed.

shesagordie,

Thank you for the information. I am the registered owner of the computer and I do reside in the US.

When I get home from work this evening I will try to request it using the link.

However, unfortunately, my computer is no longer under warranty.

You may essentially download a Reinstallation DVD by following the instructions here:

http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-microsoft-windows-and-office/download-microsoft-windows/windows-7-sp1-iso-download/

You should clean install Windows 7 after a secure wipe with DBAN as instructed here:
