Powerconnect 5548, 7048 - SNMP configuration backup
Hello,
I have Powerconnect 5548 and 7480 switches and I would like to know if it's possible to backup config files with TFTP and SNMP commands, as I do with my cisco switches ?
Thanks.

You should be able to use rlcopy which is OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87
Rlcopy source location .1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.3
Rlcopy desination ip address .1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.9
The firmware updates also contain the mib files so you can find OIDs http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=JRCF6&fileId=3365034200&osCode=NAA&productCode=powerconnect-5524&languageCode=EN&categoryId=NI

Hi,
Yes you can backup the switches config files.
Copy startup-config tftp location

Maybe, I didn't express clearly my question, but I would like to do the same thing with snmpset commands.
I did it with my cisco switches but I don't know what are the good OIDs for Dell devices.
Thanks.

I tried these OIDs with net-snmp :
1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.3 i '1'
1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.7 i '2'
1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.8 i '3'
1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.9 a '192.168.132.12'
1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.11 s 'config.cfg'
1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.16 i '1'
1.3.6.1.4.1.89.87.2.1.17 i '4'
The command with the string argument 'config.cfg' failed.
I am not a specialist with SNMP, so I will try later with another snmp client.
Thank you.
