Touchpad driver problem after windows update (N5110, Win7)
Hello,
I have Dell Inspiron N5110 with Windows 7 Ultimate (x64).
After first installation win7 two years ago I hadn't any problems with dell drivers. I installed touchpad driver (R305170) correctly and switched off the touchpad. This my goal - I want to switch off touchpad permanently.
After update windows 7 a month ago (some critical update and hotfixes) I got a problem. Touchpad driver became uninstalled. There were no information about my touchpad in the system (no tabs in "control panel - mouses", no touchpad devices in the device manager, no system tray icon, touchpad software didn't launch) All others dell software are correctly working. I tryed to reinstall touchpad driver (Alps pointing device driver R305170), but it was an issue, that installation has failed. After that I tryed to remove all mouse devices from my system and install this driver - no effect. I downloaded another version of touchpad driver from Dell website and tryed to install it. Failed, I got an issue with fail log:

I can see an error

Have anybody any ideas about that? Maybe I can use another way to switch my touchpad off?
