Xenith Pro 2 2.0_104

Unhappy Xenith Pro 2 2.0_104

We were so excited to get the new Xenith Pro 2's, but there seems to be a major bug with the firmware on VDI in a Box 5.3 and Xendesktop 7. Curious if anyone else has been experiencing mouse and keyboard lag? We switched right back to a Xenith Pro and it is much faster. We are waiting on a support ticket.

What did the support ticket say? The local sales engineer confirmed the bug... Firmware released July 29th... It is not August 27th... one month yet no signs of any fix.

Oh good, it's not just me .. Having issues with original Xenith's on 104 as well..

Doesn't seem to just be lag .. video flickers went hovering over buttons in session, etc. Having issue on both XD7 & XD5.6/XA6.5FP1 envs as well.

Same problem here on our Xenith 2 sins the day they released if as a fix for our "flickering" second screen.
We need a fix quick, our internal customers are NOT happy!!!

We decided to evaluate Igel thin client and it seems work just fine little more administaration but alot faster even works with Youtube!
If no quick solution on problem we will dumt Wyse/Dell!

Suppose no one has heard anything new on this? Very frustrating...

This is a terrible bug to be allowed in a release of a production Thin Client. I am evaluating these now and the performance is horrible. I can't even downgrade as 2.0_104 is the only firmware available. No indication of progress. This needs to be resolved, like yesterday. I have no qualms about dumping every single Wyse client I have and switching to HP. Get engineers answering this thread please.

Well, allow me to be impressed with Wyse support and engineering. I put in a support ticket and was able to get the beta firmware the next day. It immediately resolved the screen repainting/latency issues and performance was on par or better than the Xenith Pro I tested. Beta 2.0_104.012 is the firmware I have now installed on all my Xenith 2 Pros and it is working flawlessly. The Wyse engineer I worked with stated that they should be releasing the production firmware soon, possibly by the end of October or around that time.

Contact Wyse if you are having the same issues in this thread to get access to the beta firmware.

Thanks again awesome Wyse Support!

Try upgrading to 2.0_105 firmware if experiencing mouse lag issues. Also solved the issue with users using dual monitors and not able to adjust screens. There is a new radio button that appears in the Display properties (Must Choose Screen2 for Swap Monitor option to appear). Seems like if a user has the VGA Monitor on the left and DVI Monitor on the right its a problem. So monitor solution is either physically swapping monitors (i.e. Put VDI monitor on the left & VGA on the right) or using the new feature in the 2.0.105 firmware.
