U2413 DCCS Hardware Calibration on OSX

Hello,

I've just purchased a new U2413. I work with a macbook and I would like to hardware calibrate the monitor from my OSX but I can not see the option. I connect the monitor via miniDP-DP. I have installed the latest version of DCCS for OSX (v1.5.8). Is there anything I'm missing?

I know DCCS supports HW calibration for other Dell monitors on OSX. Is there any plan to support this monitor?

DCCS supports HW calibration for OSX with 4k & 5k monitors, not for your model.

You need to install Windows 7 or newer on a partition in your macbook (in won't work with virtual machines), or calibrate your U2413 on another Windows computer (then copy back ICM Profiles, or "profile only" CAL1 and CAL2  OSD modes on OSX with ArgyllCMS).

Yes, I know this model is not supported right now, but I think it won't be difficult for Dell to update the application, as this model is still in production and is supported in DCCS for Windows.

I would like to know from Dell a (real) reason why it is not supported.

By now, I'm looking for a Windows 7, trying not to install a new partition.

Why? No idea. We are not privy to those discussions with the manufacturer. This is what we support =




The "Dell U2413 Monitor Color Calibration User's Guide" makes no mention of apple or mac but specifically mentions "Windows Operating System".

Sounds a little bit strange what you said about "not privy to discuss with the manufacturer"...being in the official support forum of the manufacturer, Dell. No offense.

Is there any other place that I can ask?

I am only the Liaison for the Forum. I am not in any meetings with manufacturers LG, BenQ, etc. Bottom-line, our policy is set and that is what I must support.

I didn't want to criticize you, but Dell support policy. I'm a bit disappointed about that.
