install Netgear N300 USB wireless onto V30LE?

install Netgear N300 USB wireless onto V30LE?

I have a client who changed their mind about using a wireless Wyse client after I had already opened the box & started the short configuration setup. My sales guy purchased a Netgear N300 USB wireless adapter & I'm supposed to install this into the Wyse device. Unfortunately, since they originally didn't want wireless, this one doesn't have even a port to screw on an antennae, so I have to go with the USB dongle.

Is this even possible?

It is possible, but the only drivers included in those clients are for the Wyse Wireless adapter.

I've come across several S30 clients that are used to display presentations on LCD screens. Some of those presentations need to be changed, however there is no documentation about the settings and a manual cannot be found.

The documentation via the website is quite confusing, is someone able to point me to some info that will help me find out how these clients are accessed?

thnx!

@mariana80
Since the Wyse adapters use a specific chipset (google it!) it is possible if you get other USB wifi adapters using the same hardware. Drivers do not care on brands, but on hardware so the existing Wyse drivers will most probably work (eventually with some minor hacks, like editing some text files). The trick is done for many wifi adapters for macs.
I do not have more specific info at hand, but last time I checked did not use much time, but I am also interested. Iirc, the Wyse adapters used some Ralink hardware or maybe Realtek... Maybe somebody knows better...
Have a wonderful day!
