XPS 13 screen flickers when waking up after Windows 10 upgrade
Whenever i turn on the laptop, or wake the screen up when it goes dark, the screen starts to flicker. It's like it's glitching a couple of seconds before it stops.. It goes on for about 5-10 seconds. It started to happen after i upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday (i got my XPS 13 yesterday). It's the i7 model with the infinity touch display.
I have checked that i have all the latest drivers. So is this software, or hardware? And what can i do to fix this?

Well I updated to the new Intel graphics driver 5500U 20.19.15.4300 and so far so good. C-State is enabled and no flickering.
It took awhile but Thanks Dell.

Where did you find this driver? do you have a link? Intels website has as latest driver the 4279 and Dell still has the 4240 as latest driver.
Tks

Tks for that, I had tried that and this did not work, then realized that I had switched off windows automatic updates as instructed somewhere above, this prevented the device manager to check the internet..
Switched it back on which allowed the device manager to pull the driver up from the internet.
So far so good.

Looks like progress (maybe!) anyone know if there is a plan to roll this driver down to older cards like the HD3000? Thanks, Peter

I certainly hope so. But, it is actually expected that they work on first with those laptops which are still being currently sold, or else, their sales will be affected.
Dell, any love for the L321x owners?

Finally, after 158 postings here and a hundred more outside this forum and almost 3 months of waiting, the new driver has fixed the flickering problem on our Dell XPS 13.
Now I can brag this nice laptop out in the open.

I am glad that many of you has fixed the problem. Congratulations!
Ravi (at Dell), I have an older XPS 13 L321X with the 3000 integrated video controller.
When I attempted to update my device driver, it states that mine is already the latest. My last post showed you that the 4297 does not support the 3000 series. Could you provide some guidance how could I fix this problem please? Many thanks.
