PocketCloud on Gingerbread and Droid X

PocketCloud on Gingerbread and Droid X

Hello there - I've been using PocketCloud (the free version) for a few months, with occasional (usually emergency!) usage on my Droid X with Froyo (v2.2). Last month, I updated to Gingerbread (v2.3.3) and along with the other weirdnesses that often go along with an OS (ROM?) update, PocketCloud stopped working - my connection parameters are still the same and I can still get to my work computer from outside using other computers, but PocketCloud now shows Connection failed, Could not connect to server. It shows it very quickly, like it's not even trying, or the request is never making it "out of the phone"... Not quite sure how else to describe it - I've verified the parameters, and they are correct, and I am connecting via a static IP: port configuration that is set up specifically for my computer at work, with port forwarding on the router. Since that still works from other computers, the most likely culprit appears to be my new OS/ROM - I have NOT tried uninstalling PocketCloud and then re-installing, but that's probably my next option, unless you have another idea. I am using PocketCloud Free v1.2.139, and connecting to XP Pro 64-bit.

Thank you for your help!

Hi teamcook,

If removing connections you have and create new connection again wont work, then it would be better to uninstall and re-install the app again.
Also please make sure you have latest Windows Companion on your PC installed. I believe it is version 2.2.10

Thanks, lana - I tried removing the connection and creating it anew, as well as uninstalling then reinstalling PocketCloud, then setting up the connection again manually. Same error message, same fast response. I don't use the Windows Companion on my PC at all - it is a manual RDP connection, with the IP address and port specified. I know that the configuration at work is set up correctly because I can still connect with my home computer using the same settings that used to work on my Droid X before the OS update. any other ideas?
