Zenith Cx0 and self service password reset

Zenith Cx0 and self service password reset

Hello. I am new to Wyse thin clients. We have about 200 of them on our campus now and I just started working with them. We have a question concerning self-service password reset. We currently have Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager running and configured to handle password resets and unlocks since our student portal is based on Sharepoint and all of our regular desktops are Windows 7. So we are rolling out Wyse boxes and I need to see if there is a way to connect the Wyse and Forefront together to address password changes. We are running Citrix. I would hate to have to setup kiosks just for students to have to go to in order to change their password if they forgot it, let alone to even register their security questions. Any thoughts? Is it possible to boot past the Wyse login screen and go right to a Windows login prompt? If so, would this just pull from our Xendesktop VDI pool or would we have to specify certain desktops to each Wyse? Is it possible to modify the Wyse gina and add in a link to our self service reset web page via a published app? Any direction anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks... Joe

Hello
Self Service Password Reset software can reset domain password by answering a set or questions set by the system admin. You can right-click the user and select Reset Password option to enter the new password. For more details read this blog : http://activedirectoryselfservice.bl...th-active.html

The Xenith's Self-service password reset feature is only for use with the Citrix password management solution. It cannot integrate into Microsoft's Forefront identity Manager. Since you already have XenDesktop licensing, contact your citrix reps to find out what you will need to do to enable the password reset capabilities.

Also, here is another thread from the Citrix forums that seems to resolve the issue by enabling password resets on the PNAgent site: http://forums.citrix.com/message.jspa?messageID=1522739
