Dell Inspiron N5010 Memory Upgrade Problems

My N5010 shipped with 6gb of RAM and I recently decided to upgrade to 8gb of RAM.  I purchased a 2x4gb PNY kit, model number MN8GK2D31600LV.  Specs for this kit are below.

Dual Channel, 1600MHz (PC3-12800), CAS Latency 11, Voltage 1.35v, XMP support NO, Compatible with 1600MHz, 1333MHz, 1066MHz.

I installed the new memory, but now I cannot boot into Windows.  The BIOS recognizes all 8gb of RAM.  I have tried running the boot up diagnostics, but they crash before completion.  I have also tried using a bootable CD with Memtest86 and that diagnostic will not complete before the system crashes either.

I have removed the new memory and reinstalled the original memory, but the computer will still not boot into Windows.  It is more stable and will run the boot up diagnostics now.  I tried the startup repair option and it found errors that could not be repaired.

What do I need to do to get my laptop up and running again?
