Chaining multiple monitors

Hey there,

I am attempting to use dual monitors attached to my laptop (Windows 7), but have unsuccessfully configured them.  I only have one HDMI port on the laptop and was attempting to "chain" the monitors together.  I have both screens connected but am unable to separate the monitors into 1,2,3 rather than the 1 (laptop) and 2 (both Dell's).  I am using P2815Q monitors.  Any help would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately, the daisy chaining of Dell monitors can only be done from and through DP (DisplayPort) or mDP (Mini DisplayPort). Coming from the laptop HDMI will not work.

Hey Chris thanks for the prompt reply.  Unfortunately I have only one HDMI port for an external display, is there a way I can use both monitors or can I only use one external monitor.

That laptop will not work for daisy chain. You need a laptop with either DP out or mDP out. With that HDMI out laptop, you can only connect one P2815Q.
