Inspiron 3521 Slow wireless internet speed but hardwired is ok

I am having a problem with my wireless Internet speed on my Dell Inspiron 3521 laptop I received as a gift for Christmas in 2013 but didn't use till Jan. of 2014.I have upgraded to Windows 10. I've had nothing but problems with this laptop since I got it. Dell replaced the wireless network card in Feb 2015 under warranty, then when the unit was just past the warranty date by a couple months I had to have the hard drive replaced in July 2015, now I am only running at 2 Mbps when using wireless while three tablets and another laptop are running at 17Mbps. If I hardwire the Dell to my router the Dell will run at 17Mbps.I think Something is wrong with the Dell wireless 1703 wireless card or system in the Dell but when I run the Dell quick check or dianostics it says everything is ok. Can someone help me or do i throw the Dell in the trash since I can't get dell help since it's out of warranty?Thank you willi81

You might need to update the drivers including the chipset.

IEEE488

Could not use the link you posted, said not available. My Computer says everything is up to date. Quick Dianostic test says wireless card ok but I think it may still be bad otherwise what else would cause only this Dell laptop to be slow at 2 Mbps wireless speed when two other tablets next to it on the same desk are running at 17Mbps? I still need help please. If I connect it to the router hardwired I get 17 Mbps. The wireless network card was replaced once before by Dell, now out of warrantybut I do have an extended warranty thru Assurion.

If you or anyone else can help I appreciate it.

Thanks IEEE488 but I tried the download of the drivers without success. I'm really frustrated with this Dell and the problems with it. Any other ideas or should I try getting help through the Asurion extended warranty?

Evidently no one else has had this problem since no one except IEEE488 has responded. Nothing from Dell so evidently they don't have an answer .It's odd I can put a Toshiba Laptop on my desk next to the Dell 3521 and it will run wirless at 17 Mbps but the Dell will only run at 2.4 Mbps. Also at this same time three tablets will run wireless at 17 Mbps in a distant part of the home. You would think someone would have the solution. The diagnostic checks showed no problem. Thanks

adapter settings - right click wifi, select Properties - configure - advanced  - 802.11n Bandwidth - select 20mhz/40mhz Auto unde Value. This should solve the problem.
