Updating Linux servers - which firmware goes with which drivers?
I need to update one of our Linux R710s that has Broadcom NetXtreme II 5709 NICs, but it's only running RHEL 5.11 so the driver isn't up to date (2.1.11). Does anyone know where I can find which firmware is suitable for which driver? OME is suggesting the latest firmware and I don't want to have issues with the older driver as this is a mission-critical system.

Hi,
You should be able to find the firmware and driver details at dell.com/support and even broadcom support should have this information.
