Trouble upgrading to win 10

I have an Optiplex  9010 with 1tb hd that  has been running win 7 pro & 1.5 mps dsl line from fairpoint. Recently windows has been giving me a matter of minutes to do what I want. I have decided to put up win10 pro. I have tried to run the update, and it times out in a matter of minutes. when I put up win 7 I found an image copy of the program to download.  Is there an image I can download, and copy too DVD or flash drive to install from?

Previously someone posted on here about win7, and I was able to do what I needed. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer

300guy,

You can click the link below to download Windows 10 using the Media Creation Tool. As far as upgrading to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 8 Home or Windows 7 Home you would need to pay and get the Windows 10 Pro Product Key code.

Make sure you have the information listed below and Read All Information First.

  • An internet connection (internet service provider fees may apply).
  • Sufficient data storage available on a computer, USB or external drive for the download.
  • A blank USB or DVD (and DVD burner) with at least 4 GB of space if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted.

Overview Requirements For Windows 10

Get Windows 10

Must be running the latest version of Windows 7 (Service Pack 1) to receive the free upgrade to Windows 10 via Windows Update.

If you don't have a digital entitlement for Windows 10 Pro, you can choose to buy Windows 10 Pro from the Store.

Must be running the latest version of Windows 8 (Windows 8.1 Update) to receive the free upgrade to Windows 10 via Windows Update

After Upgrading to Windows 10 you can click the link below to update to Windows 10 drivers for your computer.

3000guy,

If your system is eligible for the Windows 10 upgrade you will get the version that is installed on your computer now. If you have Windows 7 Home; you will get Windows 10 Home.
