Dell Audio - automatically switch to headphones when plugging them in.

XPS 9350 - Windows 10

Can I make Dell Audio (or something) automatically route the sounds to my headphones when I plug them in?  I didn't see any option within the Dell Audio menu to toggle that option.

I do quite a bit of work in my school's library, meaning I need to be quiet.

The problem is that when I plug in my headphones, I have to wait for Dell Audio to pop up and then I have to confirm my selection of "headphones with microphone" before any sound will go to them.  Only then will the sound go to my headphones.  While I do this, my computer starts dinging and beeping all the latest notifications for anyone nearby to hear, until I do the confirmation.

To make matters worse, if I plug in my headphones on the Windows lock screen and then sign in, the Dell Audio pop up never comes up; however, I still get the Windows notification center give me a notice, but it is non-interactive.  So then I have to unplug the headphones, wait for all the alerts saying that I unplugged something to go away, then plug them in the again.  If I don't wait for the alerts to clear, the Dell Audio selection windows won't load.  Again, the dings and beeps are going once I sign in and do all of this.

Of course, this is all provided I didn't mute the audio before I closed the lid the last time I used it.

SOLUTION: the pop up menu isn't clear.

If you toggle the option at the bottom saying to not pop up each time something is plugged in, it will just automate whatever it is you plug in (at least I can confirm that for 'headphones with microphone').

The way the radio button is phrased, simply sounds like it's just meant to turn off the pop up and nothing more.
