Power adaptor input broken

Good Afternoon

I accidentaly pull abrutly my power adaptor, and my laptop got damaged as you can see in the picture.  You can see a fisure in the upper part of the adaptor plug.  The laptop is working properly, it charges as normal.  But the plug feels very loose when I plug in the laptop. I'm worry that something inside could be broken and my charge doens't work again.   How can I solve/prevent it?

Thanks

Try first:  Replace the adapter.  That may solve the problem.

If not, the jack may be replaceable (it is on most newer systems;  we'd need to know the exact model number to tell for sure - i.e., Inspiron 5521, etc. -- not just Inspiron 15).

To repair the cosmetic damage, the touchpad assembly needs to be replaced.

It is a n411z.    Replace the ac adapter? The part that is loose is inside the laptop. The board. Should I replace the board? Or is there a way to repair it?  Do you think I will have problems if I do nothing?(it's still working). The cosmetics are not problem for me.

It's OK for now, but before buying any parts, check inside the system to see whether it's the jack that's damaged:

Or whether it's the plastic base that's damaged (in which case, replace the lower case assembly).

Thanks for the response. I already opened the laptop and that part was broken(the plastic, near the screw) So I will replace the jack(I found it in amazon at 6dlls, do you recomend?  http://www.amazon.com/Bestcompu-Inspiron-14Z-N411Z-Charger/dp/B00N8LXAVE ) About the comestic, do you have the part number? I think I will buy it.
