Backlight issue driving me crazy
Hi group,
It's a Dell Inspiron 5559, Windows 10. Can adjust keyboard backlight using f10, but it can't be turned off completely. Also, backlight stays on for just 5 seconds and can't be changed. Have spent more than 2 hours on the phone with tech support in India and accomplished nothing but burning up cell phone minutes. Can anybody offer a suggestion?
Thanx,
Ron

Ron49,
The keyboard backlit options may be in the Dell Quickset Application for Keyboard Backlighting. If you need to download Quickset for your computer click the link below.

Thank you, Jesse. I now can make the backlight remain on for more than 5 seconds, but I still cannot turn it off completely. When it's set to the off position, all the LEDs still blink when I type anything. Very distracting, not to mention a real drag on the battery. Where do I go from here?

Hello Jesse,
When I started to install the enhancement pack, an error message said I already had a later version on my laptop. The keyboard item in control panel doesn't seem to be any help. Further suggestions?

Guess not. Been waiting for 10 days. I can see I'm never going to get satisfaction on this issue. So forget it. I'll get a Mac.
