Screen fault
I have a Dell inspiron laptop and my screen won't work properly. When I turn it o. The screen comes on but then just before the account Login screen comes up it just goes black. I can plug my laptop into my TV and use it but screen stays blank. Anyone know of any way to fix would be eternally greatful. Cheers tom

Shine a bright light on the screen -- can you see anything (even a faint image)?
Hold the D key through powerup -- do you get an alternating set of solid color screens?

Tried both, nothing happens with D key and can't see anything with light
