8 Beep
Hi,
I need help with my Dell Inspiron N5110. In 6 years, I have never encountered any problem with it except is slowed after a couple of years from the date of Purchase (late 2010) and battery which I removed and never replaced.
I am not a techie person so please bear with my explanation.
Last week, i have encountered the 8-beeps and blank screen I tried the "D" and power button and it did restart which I thought already back to normal. I shut it down and went to work. The next day, as I turned it on, it gave me the blank screen again and the beeps, unfortunately the "D"-thing wont work anymore.
I am afraid my laptop would resign on me - I cannot afford to lose it. Please I need help - what shall I do?
Thanks.
DELL-Lijo J

Hi,
>> We’re listening. We’ll surely try and assist you. We did review the details of your system and found that 8 beep codes indicate that there is a LCD failure.
>> We request you to complete the following steps to release the static power from the system:
- Remove the battery and then disconnect the AC adapter if connected.
- Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds then release it.
- Reinsert the battery and then reconnect the AC adapter.
- Turn on the computer
>>Please connect the system to an external display and check if you are able to view anything on the same.
Please let us know if this helped.
