For us or our users to assist in troubleshooting, we need more information.
* What Dell computer model?
* What operating system is installed?
* Troubleshooting performed?
* List how the device is connected. For example =
Laptop TB3/USB-C out port --> TB3/USB-C to HDMI adapter --> HDMI to HDMI cable (which one?) --> what device?

* Dell XPS 9550
* Windows 10 x64
* Re-installed drivers, restarted computer.
* USB-C port on laptop ->[USB-C->HDMI Converter]->HDMI input of monitor using HDMI cable. This cable works other wise.
