How can I get the serial number of the stolen laptop
How can I get the serial number of the stolen Dell laptop. I only have charger adapter, nothing else. Is it possible to get the serial number in any way.
I had registered the laptop into my microsoft account and it shows 12 digit number not sure if it's serial number.

If you have the express code (11 digit code) you can find the service tag from our support site.
If this was purchased from Dell & if you have the order number or the purchase invoice copy you should be able to find the tag details.
Once you have the tag details, you can report about your lost system here http://dell.to/2uHnaUb not that Dell will find the notebook. Once the ownership is confirmed they will flag the notebook as stolen & will not receive any support until the red flag is removed.

If you bought your system through Dell's website, you might be able to find it under My Orders somewhere. I remember finding that buried in a detailed components list. I don't think it was called out as a Service Tag, but it just kind of looked like one to me, and sure enough it pulled up my system when I searched it on support.dell.com.
