Failure updating Open Manage Essentials 2.2 Inventory collector module for F/W and Driver Inventory Task
When attempting to update the Open Manage Essentials 2.2 Inventory collector module for F/W and Driver Inventory Task from 15.6.200 to the latest version the update task fails with the details "Exception:The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found."
When running the update from the package repository (invcol.exe) I get the following error:
Inventory collection stopped as this is not a Dell Machine.
Inventory collection stopped as this is not a Dell Machine.
Anyone have a work around for this issue?

I found that it downloaded the two inventory executables (invcol.exe, invcol64.exe) to
C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\Essentials\SystemUpdate\Packages
So I just copied those manually from there to:
C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\Essentials\bin
I ran an inventory on a remote system after doing that update and it appeared to work.
The "Dell Solutions" section of the OME web interface still shows that I need an update, but I'm not sure if that's just a matter of time or what.

Ref
ELaizure suggested a workaround... modified the \Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts file to include the following line which successfully allowed us to update:
143.166.147.76 ftp.dell.com downloads.dell.com

The hosts file entry worked for me. Thanks!

Hi,
With fresh install of OME 2.3 or upgrade to OME 2.3, the SupportAssist Enterprise version 1.1 will be installed and it is expected. The OME SupportAssist plugin 2.2 is recommended only with OME version 2.2.
Is invcol version problem solved with upgrade to OME 2.3?
Thanks,
Vijay.
