A non Dell EqualLogic labeld drive will not work in your PS6000. Story ended.

They use a whitelist of own certificated drives and all others are not recognized by the array and marked as unknown. For older EQLs this was different.

Hello,

Do you have a support contract?  You need to open a support case. You need to connect to the serial port of the active controller so that support personnel can assist you.

If you don't have a contract, you can open an out-of-warranty case and they maybe able to assist you.

Hello,

By calling the number, then give them the service tag #, and tell them you do not have an active contract for this unit.

You can also create a case with "TechDirect" but that will likely take longer than calling support line.

Hello,

In the meantime, if you still have access to the CLI, please run support exec raidtool

And send me the output.  You can at least check that the RAIDsets are healthy.

Hello,

That error means that the eqllogger service can't write the logs to the RAIDset.   Which typically means it's faulted, not degraded.

  Please run:

support exec "uname -a"

member select MEMBERNAME show disks

Hello,

What about the other command?    support exec "uname -a"

That will let me know what firmware the array is running at least.

This is as far as I can take you.   Did you open a support case?

Hello,

That means the RAIDset has failed completely.  That is very old firmware.

You may end up having to send the drives out to be copied/recovered to have a change to get the RAIDset back online.
