Dell laptop hinge bezel cracks on left side

Has anyone else seen this problem.   I've had two laptops and nearly 14 months (4 months after warranty expiration), the left hinge plastic bezel has cracked.  I suspect this is a universal problem as I've met with other laptop owners who have experienced the same thing at nearly the same time....just after warranty expiration.

I know that in nearly all manufacturers of laptops that this is occurring and oddly nearly all are the left hinge bezel/plastic.

It sounds like all manufacturers are getting their laptop hinge bezels from the same place. This is a problem that Dell needs to address...immediately.
