Dell XPS 13 (9343) Mini Displayport not Working

I have a Dell XPS 13 (9343) laptop which I am trying to connect to an external monitor. I bought a cable to connect from the laptop's mini displayport to the monitor's DVI port (this cable) but the monitor isn't picking anything up. I can connect a Macbook to the monitor using the same cable without issues, so I don't think the cable is faulty.

Do I need one of Dell's adapters to connect, or is there a driver out there I need to download? Is it possible the mini displayport is broken? I haven't used this port for anything else before and the laptop is fairly new so I'm feeling a bit clueless. I've searched for a solution but can't find anyone else with the same problem.

Hi,

Welcome to our community. Try the following:

>> Connect the Mini-DisplayPort cable to the system and television.

>> Press F8 to display the image on the external display.

Let us know if this helped.

No, unfortunately that didn't work. The monitor just says "DVI NO SIGNAL".

Image appears on laptop and external monitor but neither image will lock - Using F8 to select one or both does not make a difference. Screen flashes until HDMI cable is disconnected.

Using XPS 13 9350 with Dell USB C adapter (47KD7) and HDMI cable.

We may have to install the right drivers and check if the system detects the monitor using a DVI. Private message the service tag, registered owners name of the monitor and the system, so that we can check if the drivers and provide you with the same. Thank you for your cooperation.
