Inspiron 15b7000 series; audio plays but ALWAYS turns itself down??????

I bought my laptop 2 weeks ago. I have been having these issues since day 1. every time I got to play a video or listen to music the audio will most of the time start out normal and as loud as it should be, but it seems as If, when it picks up noise around me, the sound starts to get lower and lower gradually until I cant hear it anymore. and at this point the sound is not completely off but in order to even hear it I would have to put the speaker directly to my ear and even then I can barely hear it. I'm really really disappointed especially since talking to the person who sold me this computer was sure that it would run perfectly, even better than my old mac. I have never had these issues with any other laptop, this is very frustrating. I cant even use my headphones because for some reason it just wont play! it even detects them in the headphone jack  and everything and yes, ive been able to use the headphones once or twice and heard sound but it took a lot of restarting and messing around which I simply don't have time for. I have messed around time after time with the audio setting trying to figure this out and have of course restarted my computer time after time and the problem still persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

Thank you for writing to us!

This could be a virus issue. We would suggest you to do a test to know,Run the PSA diagnostics on the system and when it come to running the test screen test fail it on purpose which will give you the actual sound on the system.

Kindly also update the audio drivers and the chipset drivers.

Private message the service tag and email address.

Thanks

Hello. Check the date on the invoice. If you bought it from Dell you might have only 21 days from that date in which to return it, if you so choose. If you elect to keep the laptop past the return period, your only recourse will be for Dell to repair it under the terms of the warranty, which doesn't cover software. If Dell cannot fix it, they can say it is a software issue (which it might be).
