Power adaptor mismatch

Hello All!

I am having a pretty hard time finding a power adaptor that is compatible with my laptop, an old latitude E6400 (Tag# 1DN25K1)

It had a nasty tumble in an airport then the adaptor was doused in broken duty free limoncello, I trashed it to be on the safe side assuming a replacement woauld be as easy as pie.

When I got back stateside I handed it in to a repair shop however the repair shop owner after ordering a replacement directly from dell that would theoretically work according to the express service code number, in order to assess any damage simply did not fit the socket. He apparently tried matching it with a variety of different adaptors from his 'library' but none fit so he handed it back to me after trying to get a match from customer support and failing.

My wife has three different dells, all work models spanning over 7 years, and none of their adaptors fit either.

Thinking about buying this - any thoughts? www.laptoprescue.com/.../

I am completely at a loss how to proceed here other than attaching a pic of the socket.

Sincerely,

Robert.
