Dell test showed there is a serious hard drive problem. I think I need another for my Dell 7800 Optiplex. I am not very IT literate especially having to use the reserve PC. Shattered. Where do i go from here. Test on Quad showed all good but not now!
New hard drive for Optiflex 7800 Quad all good but the test stated Optical something Failed.I think it is the hard drive.

No such Optiplex model 7800. There are no soft fixes for physically bad hard drives.

OptiPlex 780 ??
If there was no CD or DVD disk in the optical drive, it probably will fail the diagnostic tests. Put a data CD or DVD in that drive, and re-run the tests...
