windows failed to start

Hello

I have laptop DELL N5010 , windows 7 home basic .

i  made upgrade for windows 7 home basic  to windows 10 then i returned  to windows 7 using factory format . Since this time ,i get this  message “ windows failed to start a recent hardware or software change might be the cause to fix this problem 

1-        Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer

2-        Choose your language setting then click next

3-        Click repair your computer

and i don’t have the recovery media of my windows 


i hope to find the answer

If the Dell recovery partition is available on the system then use the link : http://dell.to/2iCHJuW to create a Dell USB repair key and then restore the system to factory state.


Or you may have to contact the regional support sales team to purchase the recovery media.

first of all, i appreciating your quick reply  but i wanna know how to be ensure if Dell recovery partition is available on the system or not .

Do download the recovery tool from the link provided in the previous post. If the recovery partition is available then you will be able to restore the system to factory state if not the tool would be unsucessful.

hello , Ravi

i cannot download the Dell Recovery & Restore to a USB drive. i am trying to download it from yesterday till now. Every time i entered the service tag of my laptop 1BRWRP1 to download the the recovery tool .

is there any method to download this tool

I see that you can download the recovery key from the support site. I would suggest you to re-download it using a different internet browser or different computer. Please let us know the region you are located so that we could direct you to sales team to purchase the recovery media.
