POWERVAULT 114T LED CODE 5

My powervault show a LED number 5.

what's this?

error 5 is normally a drive fault, or maybe a power issue.

Hello MarcoMerlin,

Which LTO drive do you have in your PV114T? When you get an error code 5 on a tape drive, it normally means that there is a hardware issue with the drive. Are you able to see if there is any media that is stuck in the drive? If you reboot your PV114T does the error come back?

Hello,

Thanks for the reply, the type is LTO ULTRIUM 3 and has no tape stuck in drive. When i restarted the unit, the error persists.

Hello MarcoMerlin,

The drive is needing to be replaced. The drive is not able to go through its power on cycle and complete.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

what i do?

1 - insert the tape

2- power off

3- power on
