Precision 5510 very slow after updates

Hello,

I have updated my Precision 5510 with:

- Win 10 Pro creator update (installed automatically unfortunately)

- Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver_M56HN_WIN_21.20.16.4664_A10

- nVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-Quadro-graphic-Driver_K2H3H_WIN_22.21.13.8205_A10

- Precision_5510_1.2.29

- ASMedia-USB-Extended-Host-Controller-Driver_M8TKT_WIN_1.16.47.1_A04

Since then the notebook is really really slow (basically unusable).

The CPU frequency doesn't go higher than 0.7GHz.

Things are a bit better since I have reverted back the NVIDIA driver (device manager, NVIDIA GPU, driver, roll back), but still much worse than before the updates and CPU stuck at 0.7GHz.

Where can I find the install files for the previous versions? I am happy to install the previous versions of all the above if I get the install files.

Also why certain updates i.e. the BIOS weren't available from the Dell Command Update, but were available from the Dell Support website based on my service tag?

Thanks and regards,

Matteo

Hi matteoswd,

Thanks for posting.

The previous drivers can be found by clicking on "other versions" from the drop down in the support page:

Hi Robert,

thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately there is no "other versions" for BIOS or NVIDIA driver.

Regards,

Matteo

The slowness is probably not caused by the BIOS, however, I was able to find older BIOS drivers using a Google search:  http://dell.to/2vhWlTz

And the NVIDIA drivers here:  http://dell.to/2vir17j
