Latitude E6430 - Dell Control | Power Manager won't install in Win7Pr6 arch - err 25025
Hi,
I've recently bought a refurbiished Dell Latiture E6430, which came with win7 pro x64. As I don't have full trust to the vendor, I've decided to reinstall OS, from the Dell's DVD (win7 pro x64 glb polish). Of course drivers detected for my tag are installed (and updated through "Dell Control | Update".
However, with reinstall I've lost ability to control how the battery is maintained. As I understand, this shall be provided by "Dell Control | Power Manager". Prior to reinstall it worked. But this app is not detected for my service tag. I've tried to install various versions that were available for this model, including recent
System-Utilities_Application_3N7TV_WN32_2.1.0_A00.EXE
System-Utilities_Application_0X5N4_WN32_2.1.1.EXE
(w32 but both theoretically are "32bit executables for 64bit architecture")
They won't install returning error 25025 (unsupported system). Any ideas how to tackle this?
I suspect this is not a hardware issue, as battery management worked prior to system reinstall.

I followed the right order on my first attempt, with one significant exception - I did not have dotnet4/4.5/4.62 installed. Without it, installation failed both for "Dell Command | Power Manage" and for "Dell Feature Enhancement Pack" (I did not install one over the other, I know they clash. I've tried the latter as the former failed in the described manner - error 25025).
I rolled back to the installation from vendor (backup turned to be usefull) just to discover that I've got laptop with DFEP installed, and it was this packet that provided control over battery scenarios.
So with fresh install I've got dotnet installed, after that "DC|PM" still failed with 25025 error, but DFEP installed ok through "DC|Update".
It is solved now :-)
TLDR: to get control over battery scenarios, first install bios update + chipset + networking drivers, then windows updates including dotnet 4+4.5+updates, then "Dell Command|Update" + detected driver updates, then in "DC|Update" show all updates and install "Dell Feature Enhancement Pack Application".

Once you reinstall Windows there is an order to install drivers in the system in order for the hardware to work properly. Below is information to help you get your computer up and running . You cannot install 32 bit drivers in the system unless the specific drivers states that it will work with both versions. You can install the Dell Feature Enhancement Pack to control the battery options as will as other options.

Driver Installation
After a fresh copy of windows installed, always install the Intel chipset driver utility first. After that, you can install the rest of the devices' drivers in any sequence. The below driver list is based from driver installation from the Resource DVD.

Good day, i have problem also with install Dell Control | Power Manager. New Windows 7 Professional, installation by this solution, but still same error. I have NET, updates, all drivers, ... Is another solution for install Power Manager? Thanks
