Dell Latitude D630 Black Screen
Hello, today i recently accquired a Dell Latitude D630,
but it has an issue when i power it on all it does is boot up and remain black, any ideas?

I tried an external monitor, but that failed, so im assuming its a bad Display panel or Motheroboard

Try an external screen - if it shows a good image, it is likely a bad display panel (and/or backlight, part of the display).
If not, it's a bad video chip - - and you'll need to replace the mainboard.

If you can't get an image externally, you may simply want to look for a working system - these come with either Intel video or nVidia -- the latter are the problematic ones, as the chips have a well known design flaw. Most have failed by now.
These systems sell in the $30-100 price range on EBay - making buying a replacement board not quite an economic exercise.

Well i fixed the black screen at boot, fairly simple for me all i had to do was press the FN key while pressing the F8 so-----> FN + F8 = Fixed....

I forgot to say i fixed the laptop whilst connected to an external monitor
