Dell PE 2300 win2k install freezing.

I am trying to install windows server 2000 on a poweredge 2300. But when I get to the disk formating it hangs. I have a raid 5 with 3 drives. I have plenty of space. I am doing this as contract work for our countys courthouse. They gave me no info on what the hard ware it is. I am just guessing its the original stuff. Any help would be great.
