Hi,

Can you access the web gui for the iDRAC that is probably the easiest way to update it remotely. Depending on the Linux distro you may be able to update with in the OS as well.

Hey josh and thanks so much for the info/question! :o)  Unfortunately not :o(...I can only get to the 710 via cli.  Is there something that can be downloaded to the linux OS on the box and run from cli to do it? :o)

Yes! :o)  So that's pretty much what I'm going to do :o)  I found I can go to the download site and get the entire server firmware update utility or download the idrac bin file...  I'll grab the idrac bin file and get to the server and run it through the cli...that should take care of getting the idrac updated as long as is successful. :o)  From there I can do the same with the server update utility bin file. :o)  I was continuing to look into it as you were - u helped 'spark' an idea for me to get this straightened out. :o)  Also I found that it seems that they even updated openssl to make tls run at 1.1 and 1.2.  Which is awesome for thoughts of security! :o)

Thank you so much for your help and hope you have a super great day!!! :o)
