dell inspiron 15 series 7559 ac adapter problem
hi
I have dell inspiron 7559 and its ac adapter is 130 w (output 19.5V and 6.7A).now the problem is its not working and when I go to dell authorized service center they give me 180w instead of 130w power supply with same output 19.5V but 9.23 A.
now I just wanna know that is it capable with my dell or not means is there any damage to the battery or anything happen to my laptop by changing 130 w to 180 w and 6.7A to 9.23 A.
I am just confused

According to the Dell Inspiron 15 7559 Specifications in link below, Dell list the AC adapter type only as 130w. For optimal performance, I find it best to purchase the AC adapter that came with the computer.

Does the LED Indicator on the AC adapter lights up when plugged into system? Does the computer power on with only battery power? You tried connecting the AC adapter to another known-good wall outlet?

yes dear i think your are right i must buy the same ac adapter
i m also trying to search on net that some one try this before but did not find any thing related to this matter
no led indicator is off and when i plugged in the system nothing happens my system is not detected any power supply,
yes i have tried by changing the outlet and the fuse in the switch but nothing happens and the same they said that the power supply is not working now u should replace it and than they give me this 180w
now my lap top is charged with this one and there is no error in dell charging software but i thought may be the battery life is affected with this one.

You can use the 180W adapter & it should be able to charge your system without any damage.
The current rating on the charger indicates the maximum current it can supply. So it is OK to use a charger that can supply more current, but not the other way around.
The system will only draw the required amount of amps from the charger.
