Alienware Aurora ALX, Tactx keyboard backlights have stopped working
Alienware Aurora ALX, Tactx keyboard backlights have stopped working (caps lock and num lock do light up). 5 months old never had a problem. Any ideas?

Hi HONDA-CBR1000RR,
I recommend you to remove Dell quickset from Programs and Features and update the quickset application. Click on the link below, enter the system service tag and click submit. Select the Operating system from the drop down list to the get the drivers for your computer. Quickset application is available under Option ‘Applications’:

In case you find difficulty in installing the application, let me know the exact model of the system (E.g. Alien ware M14X) and the Operating system the system was shipped with to assist you further.

There is no "quickset app" under option "applications".. This is a Alienware Aurora with ALX chassis with WINDOWS 7 64 BIT......

Hi HONDA-CBR1000RR,
My apologies for late reply.
Quickset application is not available for desktops; hence it is not listed in the drivers page.
I request you to check if the keyboard lights work in the BIOS screen. Tap F2 key every two seconds at start up to launch the BIOS screen.
Reply with the findings.
