Xeon w3690 work in Aurora R1 MB?

Will a 6 core w3690 work in a Aurora x58 R1 using the latest bios?It supports the 990x cpu which is 6 core.  The xeon is the same chip but with ecc support.

Anyone know or try a 6 core xeon in the Aurora?

Like Chris says ... others have tried and they don't work (just search forum).

This motherboard (while true Intel x58 [enthusiast's] chipset and based on MSI tech) is not a after-market retail board. It doesn't appear to have micro-code in BIOS to support Xeon processors. It's also just mATX and non-workstation-class.

I did not find anyone on this forum that tried a w3690 so really don't know for sure.  I do not many people with mAtx x58 run the w3690 using gigabyte and asus consumer boards.  They even work with ecc even though its not officially supported.    The only reason I can think of why would not would be the bios.
