SSD on my Alienware M14x
Hi,
I'm getting a new alienware m14x, probabbly arriving next week, I've been reading about SSD, can anybody confirm it supports Corsair Force Series GT 120 GB SATA 2.5-Inch SATA III Solid State Drive (CSSD-F120GBGT-BK) ? thanks in advance !

Hello Giuliana!
Is it an Alienware 14 or an Alienware M14xR2?
The Hard drive port is SATA 3 so it should work fine, however if you have any issues I would recommend you to go back to the one that the computer came with.

Hi milena, thank you for your quick answer.
I forgot to mention that I'm not thinking about changing the hdd by a ssd, i want to add a ssd to the computer, in order to install the SO on the ssd and games and other stuff in the hdd.
Not sure if the computer comes with an extra slot for an ssd

The m14xR2 has only one port for the hdd and another one for the msata, so if you want to have a ssd you might need to replace the hdd for the ssd
