Fan making crackling sounds?
Ello everyone. Just got my new Alienware 17 laptop this week, but something isnt right...
When trying to run a game, or something intense, the laptop gets very hot and something makes a crackling sound. All my drivers are up-to-date, Did multiple Diagnostics (all Passed), looked around for a fix, but cant find anything.
The crackling noise also appears even when Im just typing up a word document.
Anyone got any ideas?
Below is a link to my DxDiag

Hello Brandon!
Could you please send the temperatures of the video card and the processor when the system is idle and stress up?

What program should I use to see the temperatures accurately?
Taking tempuratures at this point is useless. Something isnt working, I hear a fan making Crackling sounds, and the laptop gets very hot, even the keyboard gets hot enough that I cannot even stand typing on it. Even then, I am unable to use this laptop even a special stand that has the laptop over an inch above the table surface, and it still gets too hot.
My mother is fearful that this thing will burn her table. There is obviously a defective piece of hardware in my Alienware 17! Its like Cooling does not exist! The crackling sounds start up not even 20 minutes into booting up Sims 3!

This thread, although useless, can now be closed/deleted.
Got ahold of Technical support, and they say the fans will be replaced with OnSite service.
