18 R1, upgrade ram, GPU

It's an alienware 18 purchased on 2013. I want to max upgrade my ram and GPU. Any suggestion? Thanks!

That one of the first things i did was buy max ram for my laptop that i bought that came with random 1333mhz mismatch ram it was 4gb and 2gb which is changed for Team 8gb modules and four of them at that for 32gb. They are 1600mhz but very overclockable and very stable i got mine with really tight timings and 2133mhz at 1.65v and probably could go higher with looser timing but don't see the need for more bandwidth because it not a limiting factor especially on a four core.

For graphic cards i don't even know what graphic cards you actually got... Kind of hard to say what you are going to upgrade to with zero information but two gtx 780m would be the best upgrade path which is a very capable graphic card too. If you already have gtx 780m then there is gtx 880m is probably the highest you want to go as having gtx 980m seems to cause trouble for some in the past.

Happy upgrading and shopping but remember all this upgrading expect to see at least a grand spent

Thanks for replying! So, you max out the ram to 32 gb? so it was 8gb and 4 chips right? I'm also thinking of upgrading the graphics to gtx 9 series. I don't know about the problems, but I've heard people upgrading it tho. Thanks dude.
