CPU & Motherboard upgrade
does anyone know if i could upgrade my CPU and motherboard no my old 2009 Aurora R1 with parts from another Aurora model thats newer and faster than mine ?

The case is basically the same (also a mATX form-factor), except the Aurora-R4 has USB-3.0 ports on top-port-access and other minor differences. They use the same Power-Supplies (the 875w one is what you want). The MIO-Board is basically the same.
However, wouldn't it be easier to just install your SSDs and whatever-else into the Aurora-R4, and just use that?
I suggest you take close-up pics of boards and cable-connections before you start.

Hi TELSLA thanks for your help and advice the reason i was looking into upgrading the CPU plus the motherboard was to be able to try out VR ! i know my two GTX 970`s GPU`s are ok but my CPU isn't up to it .Nvidia suggest intel i5 4590 or higher ? . The reason i wanted to keep the old case was i was hopping that way there would be less chopping and changing inside for me to do
any ideas ??
