Restoring a Area 51 ALX to its former glory.
well a while back i picked up the somewhat rare Area-51 ALX Chassis. this one had been hacked on in more ways that one and i knew it before i bought it.
ive gotten most of it back together and having other Alienware Desktops helped in that area.
the one thing i cant seen to figure out is what layout is the Hard drive trays ordered in on the one side? when i got it , all 6 trays were missing and i picked up 6 brand new trays. i looked thru the users guide and the service manual and didnt see anything that stood out that said what the order is. does anybody know what order they came from the factory as?
other thing i cant track down a MIO to Fan controller cable. it seems to be elusive. anybody know where i can get one at?

Good evening. I do not have the time I can devote to see yours start-to-finish back to its former glory; I can chip-in a pointer or two only. I'm familiar with this computer but can not make the connexion between the words: MIO to Fan controller cable & whatever it is you have in mind there you're looking to aqwire. On a side note, I've moved valuable swap information into this pair of posts:

generally the active vent cable goes missing (link)
or the top left powerboard harness (none available)

thanks for taking the time to reply. and Thank you for the order of the HD caddys. that helps immensely... the top left powerboard cable you shown above is what im looking for. appears the link you pointed me to is out of stock on them.
i will check out your links as i wont be putting a stock motherboard back in.
