FINALLY !! BIOS A05 is here !!

like you read, finally Dell give us the new BIOS, but this is not that we was expecting

only have 1 fix included, that was the stuck speed processor problem when you come back from sleep. I was expecting Raid 0 enable :/

this fix help me, but my question is: this BIOS is "hybrid" like the others ? or is based on the A00 "no Hybrid?" someone that know please answer. I want to care my battery and the hybrid damage it without usage.

I come back to A00 again, the heat increase a lot ! 11°C of difference between both, and a little bit reduced performance. So now is when i ask to DELL. Why you dont add a control panel to the Fan in Command center ? all gaming brands do it!! why you dont ?

we are gamers, i don't care about the sound. if i was looking for a quiet lap i have bought an ultrabook.
I love your brand! can you please make profiles for the fan speed, so i can find a real use to the macro keys and use it for the profiles.

i really like ALIENWARE, but simple things as this make you feel angry.

Ah! a little thing more. give me one excuse to avoid the raid 0 on the new laptops ?

Do you realise that Bios a00 does not read the correct temperature of the CPU core. It reads something outside of the core which makes the temperature show lower than the later BIOSes which do now read the internal core temperature. A tech guy pointed this out on the notebook review website.

So it appears the temps are higher under load when really they are not, it's just reading a different sensor

I'll try find the link I read it on.

let me tell you that you are wrong my friend... when i say 11°C of difference is in all !

the GPU reach 78°C with A05 and 66°C with A00

i am not reading the temperature per core, i am reading the package temperature.

the problem in the new Bios are the steps of the fan and lower RPM. with A00 when the processor reach 60°C  the fan turn on. With A05 when the processor reach 75°C or 80°C the fan turn on with lower RPM

also the New BIOS is Hybrid, if you dont know, this new bios will use your battery while you are plugged to satisfied the fault of energy. this produce wear on your battery without using it. A00 is normal "no hybrid"
