13 R3 turbo disabled when power plugged in
I bought a 13 R3 laptop with 7300HQ + 1050. I noticed that whenever my power is plugged in, CPU gets stuck at base speed 2.5ghz. If I use battery mode, CPU can get to full speed. My laptop came with a 130W adapter. Is that the reason that I'm having this issue?

I bought a Dell 180w adapter. When I plugged it on, CPU starts to turbo and works normally . It seems that under current bios, 7300hq+1050 need a 180 W adapter.
Is there a way that i can replace my 130W adapter with a 180W one?

My bios is 1.2.3. I enabled both cpu and fan performance mode, the max processor state is 100, the cpu utilization is 100%, but the cpu is still locking at the base speed. Fans are very loud when performance mode are enabled.
Another thing I notice is when powers are plugged in, the cpu is always running at 2.5ghz. Whatever I do in power settings , whatever task I’m running, the cpu speed does not change

Hi @Natttt,
Make sure the BIOS is up to date.
Open power options and make sure you have everything on high performance.
Let me know!
