Delete Equallogic replication partner

Hello, is there any possibility to forcibly delete replication partner and reclaim delegated space if partner not exist anymore.

Device - Equallogic PS6000xv

Replication was configured with Dell Compellent SCV3020

Here is attempt to reclaim space using CLI:

lgb3> partner show
Name Received RecvUsed RecvBorrow Delegated DelegUsed DelegBorrow Outbound
Status InboundStatus NASEnabled BlockEnabled SiteType
---------- -------- -------- ---------- --------- --------- ----------- -------------- -------------- ---------- ------------ ----------
sn255202 0MB 0MB Unknown 2.58TB 0MB 0MB enabled enabled N Y compellent
lgb3> partner delete sn255202
% Error - Before you can delete a partner, you must pause inbound replication fr
om the partner.
lgb3> partner select sn255202 inbound-pause
% Error - This operation must be performed using Dell Storage Manager.

Thank you in advance

Hello,

Not likely, since the Compellent team doesn't do support for EQL devices.

You may have to pay for a one-time service to get this resolved.  It may require some support from engineering to resolve this.

Why is the CML no longer available?

Is there anything critical on this EQL array?   I'm hoping not since you aren't under contract.

 Regards,

Don

Hello,

I re-read you original post.  If the CML partner is no longer available, you will need to open a support case to resolve this.  It will likely take some support commands to clean up the databases.

Hello,

Since you are doing CML-EQL cross platform replication,  you have to do this via the Dell Storage Manager.  (DSM) This is because both the CML and EQL configuration databases have to be updated.

To manually delete in DSM

Log into DSM Client

Click On Replications and Live Volumes in the bottom left

Select the replication

In the bottom select destination copy you wish to delete

Then click Delete

Hello, thanks for your reply, unfortunately we don't have support for given equallogic system, but we have for compellent which was replication partner, can we bind this request to compellent's svctag?

There is nothing critical except some QA VMs, but resetting is not an option for us. Looks like we'll pay for one time service. Thanks for your help
